老马，我按照你写的一步一步下去，不过到了
#service xinetd restart
使用#netstat -l | grep cvspserver
没有看到tcp 0 0 *:cvspserver *:* LISTEN

不知道哪配置还有问题，服务器没有安装防火墙。

仔细检查配置吧，我碰到过等号两边没有空格就无法启动的。

客户端用wincvs为什么出现以下错误：
Fatal error, aborting.
chengh: no such user
cvs init: authorization failed: server 192.168.0.121 rejected access to /home/cvsroot for user chengh
cvs init: used empty password; try "cvs login" with a real password

在输入

后，提示：
[code:1]Logging in to :pserver:[email protected]:2401/home/cvsroot
CVS password: [/code:1]
输入密码后得到如下信息：
[code:1]cvs [login aborted]: unrecognized auth response from 192.168.1.2: Unknown command: `/home/cvsroot'
[/code:1]
其中user是我设定的用户

Unknown command？单独看这个信息好像不能看出什么来，你确认之前的步骤都没问题？
