error opening terminal: linux

kernel 2.4.20
装完基本系统后重启，然后执行一个程序，如：
nano -w xxxx
就会出现这个错误。
这是怎么回事？各位请帮帮忙！！！谢谢！！！！！

等一下噢，我还在用 2.4.19  版内核，看来是时候尝新的了

刚才 emrge gentoo-sources 时发现一个 Gentoo 的补丁包名字变成了 patches-2.4.19-gentoo-r10.tar.bz2，而且比原来 r9 时大了一倍(r9 的补丁包是 1.3M, r10 刚好 2.6M，不知道是否是 2.4.20 的内核)

两个内核都试一下
昨天 Coolove 也碰到 2.4.20 版内核无法启动 USB 输入设备的问题。。。
你先帮他看一下吧

很奇怪，怎么居然出了这种错误？！

我的 Character devices 里是这样保持默认设置，运行得很好，你是不是改了？(应该不会去改这里吧？！但似乎也只有这里才会出现你这样的错误。。。)
