Mysql怎么用？在“服务”里面没有mysql选项？

呵呵，我装了，安装的时候可以选择是否安装MySQL，如果没有安装的话，可以用安装光盘来用RPM来安装。或者用tar.gz文件来安装，不过这样安装之后要手工在文件/etc/rc.d/rc.local文件中添加一行：/path/mysql/share/mysql.server start来使MySQL能在系统启动时自动启动。

我也装了呀，我现在按照http://www.linuxsir.org/bbs/show ... 15&pagenumber=1想删除MYSQL不知道为什么删除不掉，哪位大大给点信息呀！
下面就是我删除的过程，在线等待！我已经把libdbi-dbd-mysql-0.6.5-5和mysql-devel-3.23.58-1删除了但mysql-3.23.58-1却删不掉为什么？
[root@longlei /]# rpm -qa |grep mysql

mysql-devel-3.23.58-1

所以我还是喜欢用源代码方式来编译。虽然可能编译速度不快，但是可以定制很多东西。

看你装的是RPM包，还是TAR.GZ文件。前者可以用/etc/rc.d/init.d/mysql start来启动。后者可以用/path/mysql/share/mysql.server start来启动。

可能是你的/var/lib/mysql目录的权限不对。试试chmod -R 1755 /var/lib/mysql。
另外，在启动Mysql的时候报错没有。如果有，是什么错误？可否贴出来看看？

看看/var/lib/mysql目录权限是否正确，还有，mysql.sock这个文件是自动生成的。
先个这个目录777权限，然后再慢慢减少，看看可以么？

怎么我的都不会出现这些问题呢？我是用tar.gz安装的。：）
