samba安装问题

我用 RH9安装SAMBA-2.2.8A时出现的错误：
[root@naner source]# ./configure

configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH
[root@naner source]# cp /usr/share/screen/utf8encodings/cc  /usr/local/bin
[root@naner source]# ./configure

checking for cc... cc
checking whether the C compiler (cc -O  ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create executables.
请问问题在那儿？？该怎么安装？？谢谢！！！
