想为LINUX做点事，在LINUX下搞开发，望指点

看了那么多帖子，真心想学LINUX下的编程。以前有C JAVA VB 的一些经验，学过数据结构操作系统等，想在LINUX下搞开发，为大尽点微薄之力。但不知道如何下手，希望高手指点。比如需要了解些什么，看些什么书，有一定基础后又应该看哪些书等。谢谢

ft, not eveybody need do kernel level programming.
this is depends on what u want to do under linux, an application or kernel hacking. for application, u can go sourceforge to see what they do. u may find an interesting one and add to their development team. u can develop a gui frontend for a tui tool. many many works can be done.

那要看看你想走哪方面,內核級的編程恐怕與我們無緣,可以搞一點應用軟件的開發,在console下用的或者GUI的都可以,不過建議先學習linux下的C編程,特別是進程和網絡方面,那是以前Turbo C沒有的內容,寫GUI程式嘛,要用到圖形庫,目前有兩種比較流行,GTK和QT庫,兩者都很不錯,可以選一種來學...

大家觉得KYLIX 3下的C++好用吗？QT和GTK 还有KYLIX哪个好用哪个更有前途呢。

if u really master one library, u can switch to another other easily. apis are the tools, algorithms are the soul.

about linux kernel, the "linux device driver" and "understanding linux kernel" are two great book. about user space code, the one i already mention are good.

and that APUE is the classic for unix problems.

由浅入深, 根据自己的能力逐步进行. 也不是说一开始就要做大工程的, 就是做出来了, 又怎么样? 没有资金, 没有技术支援, 最后还是沦落到个人行为上面, 在自己的小圈子里炫耀炫耀还可以, 但一拿到外面, 马上就被铺天盖地的类似个人行为所淹没了. 而且还有那些商业公司或之前的大型团体.
