升级内核后发现原来安装的VMware 不能用

我的内核有2.6.11 升级到2.6.16后 发现原来安装的VMWARE就不能用了,重新编译的时候出现了

请问 C header files 是在哪个目录的.我已经尝试过指向就内核处的目录下 仍就不能通过

如果是vmware workstation 5.5.1的好像要打下补丁，叫： vmware-any-any-update101.tar.gz,搜索下就可以找到了

感谢上述大侠的指点。我以前曾经安装过是没问题的。但是这次安装才出现这样的问题的。

所以我才不理解 我的问题所在。
请问 我应该如何升级 linux-header 呢？

我以前是安装过的 但是不要安装补丁的。

linux的内核头文件作为一个独立的工程已经从内核代码中分离了出来。
你需要安装
linux-header ..... 这个包。
一般是放在
/usr/include/linux 下面。

下载了。使用其解压文件 runme.pl 可以找到c-head的目录 可是使用后还是出现原来的信息 不能安装。想不明白
