This project is taken over from Fredrik Hubinette's Plugger. I sent Fredrik patches 6 months ago, but he seems to have stopped working on the project and didn't give me any answer. Here is an improved version of the program (released under the name mozplugger to avoid confusion).
About: Plugger for Mozilla is a modification of Plugger, a very small multimedia plugin for the Unix versions of Netscape, Mozilla, and Opera which uses external programs to show and play many file formats. This modification fixes bugs which occurred with Mozilla 1.x and allows a player to stream a media file directly from the URL.
ChangeLog :
- Fixed bug/new feature : The "stream" option of the file pluggerrc has been changed to make the browser just pass an URL to the player without downloading the file. The old behaviour is no more supported by Mozilla.
- Fixed bug with Mozilla 1.x : a zombie process was created for each loaded plugin, until Mozilla exits.
- Fixed bug : the "loop" option did not work properly.
- "Running helper..." is no more displayed in the status bar.
