quake3玩不起来！

我也不清楚为何有时有那个文件出现（和XFree86.0.log两个共存），只知道它也是记录文件

我刚试了一个10_1541那个。。还是不行。。好象有起色。。。。
两个包装好后，XF86Config-4"
依前改动XF86Config-4这个文件
重启
进入黑屏(一无所有，连光标也不闪)

上图中现在的chipset和上次的好象有点不同啊。。这次是2 MX 100/200
上次是2 MX DDR。我还是不确定我的显存是DDR的？(可能多疑，也可能是呆子)

之后我又重启进了console启动中发现:
Turning on process Counting和starting apmd 失败(顺便问一下apmd是什么用)
这两条信息好象也只出现了一次，以后的进入console模式都出现：mouting local filesystem: mount: wrong fs type ,bad option ,bad superblock on /dev/hda10 or too many mount file system(这点我知道是文件系统加载有误，不过那个管加载文件系统的文件在哪里又一时想不起来)

后我又试过一些XF86-4的改动：
当把原来的"nv"改成"nvidia"后无论是注不注glx。在console下startx均出现蓝屏(蓝黑条相间)，之后没反应。须重启！而重启后正常进入，又出现前面的黑屏。

看到这里真是谢谢你了。。哈哈。。。

比你的多了AGP4X的初始化，而你的没有，估计你没有加载agpgart这个agp功能模块，你可以用lsmod试一下看系统有没有这个模块在里面，如果真的没有，请编辑/etc/modules.conf，在前面加入这两行：
options agpgart agp_try_unsupported=1
alias char-major-10-175 agpgart
然后，不用说，当然是重新编译驱动，安装，startx，不行再贴帖子（0.log）

用root 是肯定无疑的啊。。。
可是一开始装的时候，我看红旗的介绍时，试了一下Is就不行(我是完全安装的)，
现在又一个Ismod。当时我也想问红旗的，不过那个提供的鸟邮件发了半天也没成功，之后也没当一回事，还以为是红旗改动过了呢？因为当时dir也可以用啊。不过现在Ismod?

在/etc/modules.conf中加入两句后，重编译，安装(你提供的光盘拷来的),改动XF86Config-4，重启。~~~~黑屏！

激动啊！

本人郑重宣布：哈哈哈~~~~经过n次尝试后。终于显卡驱动升级成功！(掌声呢！)
启动时看到了NVIDIA的几个字样，哈哈哈，进入X顿觉颜色鲜艳了不少。一运行早已装好的Quake3.0，爽啊！

以上安装过程由IIc兄提供支持，在此特表示感谢！
在我发了上一贴后，我不抱希望的又试了一下从本站下的驱动。想不到。。。哈哈
看样子显存不是DDR的了(是不是？)两个驱动有区别的吧？

我启动后看了一下log文件现在果然有了AGP*4初始化成功的字样了。。。
强啊！~~

问一下那些Load extension是什么东东，是module的extension?

却好相反，我认为你的显卡还是DDR的，因为速配3000好象只有一款DDR的型号，没有SDR的型号，显存的型号其实不不重要，驱动会自动检测出来
load extension是加载扩展功能模块吧，我也不是很清楚，呵呵，按字面意思解释
nvdia的驱动加入了画面gamma修正功能，因此画面看起来比普通驱动要明亮一点
