Linux和Sybase

我在一台电脑上装了linux和Sybase服务器,另一台电脑是win2K,装了sybase客户端,连接sybase服务器时出现以下错误,请问该怎么解决?

ping to 192.168.6.33,5000 using protocol TCP Net-Lib protocol driver call to connect two endpoints failed.

Make sure the device name in the interfaces file is correct and that the Adaptive Server's network address is correct in the interfaces file.
And, check the firewall settings on your linux box.
