但在win2000下说找不到网络路径,请问是怎么回事啊

在本地安装samba服务的Linux上能连接吗？

应该是可以的,没有任何error或failed警告出现
并显示如下(我的本机ip是172.19.10.25)
[root@xukai root]# smbclient -L XUKAI -I 172.19.10.25 -U xukai

1.将hosts allow开开：
hosts allow = 172.19.10. 127.
2.建立smbpasswd文件并设置与系统用户一样的smb用户：
#cat /etc/passwd | mksmbpasswd.sh > /etc/samba/smbpasswd
#smbpasswd yourname
