实在没办法了, 只好发信要服务器所在的数据中心的管理员帮忙了.

Dear xxxxxx.com Technical Support Staff,
I am sorry making this trouble to you. One hour ago when I was configuring
the server, I mis-tried the "authconfig" command. I think maybe because I
enable the LDAP and Kerberos 5 by mistake, right now I couldn't use my password
to login. Please help me reset the password and disable the LDAP
authencation and Kerberos 5. Sorry again for this trouble.
Sincerely,[/quote]
然后我就出门了, 下午四点回来一看, 一封信停在信箱里, 看看时间, 回复的还挺快的.

Greetings,
The senior engineer isn't in right now.
"Please help me reset the password and disable the LDAP
authencation and Kerberos 5"
How do I go about that?
Best Regards,

看罢我没当场晕过去, 我还要给自己提供技术支援啊? 没办法, 只好再回复教教对面的哪位Technician老兄或MM:
[quote:d5fd57f98f="HOUSCOUS"]Greeting xxxxxxx.com Technical Support Staff,
You can reboot the server, depends on which boot loader you are using (LILO
or GRUB), go to the single user mode:
If you are using GRUB, use the following steps to boot into single-user
mode:
1.. If you have a GRUB password configured, type p and enter the password.
2.. Select Red Hat Linux with the version of the kernel that you wish to
boot and type e for edit. You will be presented with a list of items in the
configuration file for the title you have selected.
3.. Select the line that starts with kernel and type e to edit the line.
4.. Go to the end of the line and type single as a separate word (press
the [Spacebar] and then type single). Press [Enter] to exit edit mode.
5.. Back at the GRUB screen, type b to boot into single-user mode.
If you are using LILO, at the LILO boot prompt (if you are using the
graphical LILO, you must press [Ctrl]-[x] to exit the graphical screen and
go to the boot: prompt) type:
linux single
After you enter the single mode, type:
vi /etc/passwd
You will see something similar like:
root:0:0:root:/root:/bin/bash
houscous:501:501:houscous:/home/houscous:/bin/bash
find these two line and delete the "x", then you can reboot the server to
setup the password again, and use "authconfig" command to uncheck the LDAP
and Kerberos 5.
Hope everything works fine. If you are not sure if you should do that, just
leave it to the senior engineer.
Sinerely,
