到哪找你，我的内核配置文件？

我有一个非常低级却又不得不问的问题，我找不到“内核配置文件”。
    我用的是RedHat 9.0，附带的定制指南中附录A.建构定制内核一文中提到用"make xconfig"命令后会得到一个配置文件/usr/src/linux-2.4/.config，但在目录/usr/src/linux-2.4/下只有一个configs文件夹。
    我以RedHat 9.0自身的源代码2.4.20-8编译了三个内核2.4.20-8custom02,2.4.20-8custom03,2.4.20-8custom04，都能启动。但是在启动过程中有很多功能项"Failed"，登陆后看似挺正常，与原先系统用起来没什么区别。我就想看看他们各自的配置文件，比较一下。但又不知道在那里？
    请哪位诲人不倦的好心人指教一二！

资源管理器中的查看菜单下把“显示隐藏文件”选上，适用于kde环境。或在控制台上输入ls -a。或find /usr/src/ -name .config -exec ls -a {} \;

感谢藕节，KanKer，nill三位的指点，我已能看到.config文件了。
这个文件是不是在每次编译时都会被更换？可惜我先前编译的三个内核的配置文件看不到了，那三个新内核中有一个运行一切正常，与原始的内核运行起来一样。
三次编译中，我也不记得在内核功能选项有何区别。
今晚我又编译了一次，启动时还是有很多项"failed"。
比如有如下三项：

或者那位把您便已成功的内核的.config文件贴上来。当然啦，如果是和我一样用RHL9.0自带的内核源代码编译新内核的前辈的.config文件就最好了。

你的问题出错信息不是提示得很清楚了么??是USB模块无法找到.编译内核时选为模块就好了.
.config文件是每次编译时的内核配置,当然你重复编译,原来的就找不到了,不过你可以在make xconfig时选择保存为其它名字的.
其它错误提示,你可以通过这样来搜索内核文件,加快判断是否已编译入内核:
cd /usr/src/linux-2.4
grep USB .config
USB可以用任意关键词来代替
