Use Matlab under linux

I installed matlab in windows partition. Now i need use matlab in the linux environment. But i dont hope to install matlab in the linux partition.

if i use

$ mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/window
$ wine /mnt/window/matlab605/bin/matlab.exe

but i cannot find the matlab directory, (matlab directory is under C:/)

why don't you use matlab for linux version?
