请教关于gcc3.0安装的问题???

我想装gcc3.0,用了如下的:
[root@jz gcc-3.0]# ./configure
Configuring for a i686-pc-linux-gnu host.
Created "Makefile" in /home/gust/software/gcc-3.0 using "mt-frag"
./configure: line 7: cc: command not found
*** The command 'cc -o conftest -g   conftest.c' failed.
*** You must set the environment variable CC to a working compiler
请问是什么原因,如何解决?

用./configure --help看看是否要设置什么参数，像你的错误中好像要有环境变量参数.
我没试过，不过我碰到这类问题，都是先看help 的

安装gcc的二进制包啊

能不能说得详细点啊！

先安装个gcc，安装盘里一般都有。然后再用gcc编译gcc。这下明白了吧。
