一个奇怪的XMMS中文设置问题

刚装的系统,gnome2.2.1 桌面
系统已成功加载simsun.ttf 及方正圆简体字体
./bash_profile 也加入了:
export LANG=zh_CN
export LC_ALL=zh_CN

gaim也是中文界面(证明gtk locale已生效)
安装XMMS后，菜单为中文,而且正常地，设定simsun字体便可以使playlist正确显示中文,但是却不能显示中文(英文也没有,就空着) ,尝试其他字体，有的能显示英文中文就变为????,有的中文字体,如songti 就是乱码，有的就是能正确显示极少地汉字其它就乱码如方圆。。。。。。。

这是为什么？还有，我能使用中文但为什么我运行fc-list |lang=zh_CN没有输出?
