make install 时为何提示 BusLogic 错误

我在VMware下编译内核2.6.12.1,当执行到make install时出现如下错误(前面编译过程正常):
[root@localhost linux-2.6.12.1]# make install

另外,我 dmesg 内核2.4引导信息时,发现如下信息,难道是2.6.12.1不支持VMware?:

我也是出现这样的问题,有谁可以告诉这是什么原因吗？
这好像是说系统找不到新内核
