gcc编译器安装问题

现在编译文件时提示

checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking target system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH


是不是没有安装gcc编译器，我安装的是RedHat ES3,缺省安装是不是不安装gcc编译器，我看了一个贴子，安装gcc编译器，需要顺序安装以下组件libbinutils ，binutils ，make ，glibc-devel ，gcc-cpp ， gcc 。（见http://hackbase.com/hacker/tool/2005032010516.html）可是我在安装光盘里怎么也找不到libbinutils 和gcc-cpp ，不安装行吗？

我前几天刚接触linux，安的是ES4(是企业版AS4吧？..)
开始也没有装编译器，configure时也出现和你一样的提示错误
找了半天后来发现是没有编译器
当时我放入第二张碟，找出GCC的软件安装包，我记得我只双击装一个就可以编译了，也没装过libbinutils或其他的

最好还是放入第一张碟，安装软件包时把开发工具装上
不过当时我装时提示放第二张碟，我放入第二张碟却总提示我没放，所以我只有直接放第二张碟直接选择软件安装

上面是我的一点经验，我也刚接触，不能保证没错..可以试试，望高手再来指导
